The morning of raceday for the 1st round of the Dunlop MSA British touring Car championship has started off sunny but frosty, and the Easter bunny has been out for the children (thanks to Jason Plato).

The crowds were out in force at this morning’s pit walk about with the Hampshire drivers – Rob Collard, Nick Foster (along with their Northern Ireland teammate Colin Turkington) and Daniel Welch.

All looking forward to getting their autographs and photos with the drivers.

The first race takes place at 11:47 and we will find out just before which drivers will be using the soft tyre option (Collard most likely).

Rob Collard was very frustrated after missing the ideal window for track conditions when the snow arrived. he will be looking to make another demon start off the line to make up places and get into the top 10.

Here he is at the pit lane walk about with his grid girl Sarah

The full grid girls outfits will be displayed for race 1, after they kept warm in the early cold weather

Nick Foster was very happy after qualifying in 9th place and thinks there is more to come. He will be looking to maintain his place or gain a few places in the battle on the first lap.

Dan Welch is in recovery as he had car issues including a broken driveshaft in free practice. He still had technical issues at the start of qualifying and after he had completed the tyre swop the conditions were snowy and wet and a quick time was not possible
