The opening weekend was troublesome for both Daniel Welch with a broken drive shaft in FP2 which was not completely repaired for qualifying, which meant he could only qualify in 24th place (the last part of qualifying was in snowy conditions). David Nye was getting used to a totally new car and with the cold conditions only managed to qualify just in front of Welch.
In the 3 races Welch battled hard and worked around car issues to finish in the points in all three races, but was frustrated as he knew he could have been in the top 6 in a couple of races.
David Nye worked himself into the championship and by race 3 was leading his class almost to the end of the race before an off meant he dropped down to 2nd place at the end.
So the potential is there for both cars to score well and the next races are at Donington Park ON April 21st.
